Cards I have made recently

I have not made many cards but here are a few.

1st one made using Tattered Lace print and cut flowers and topper was from a Hunkedory collection placed on a Spirelly piece which I have had for a while.

2nd was made using a My Craft Studio CD for my great nephew.
3rd and 4th made using Tonic dies and toppers which are cut to match the dies.

This one has mat and layer cut with spellbinders dies(I think it's been a while) and lady topper is a freebie on one of the Tattered Lace magazines. I was having a black and white faze and did quite a few but all slightly different most of which I have sent out.

This one was only made last week for a long time friend who lost her husband. The stamps are from Stamping Up.

While I've been away...

I have had another addition to my family, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Snoopy, who has been a god send to me. A couple of months after loosing my husband I took my daughter and her daughters on holiday and while away I decided to get a pup on our return. I had always wanted  a King Charles and it didn't take me long to find and fall in love with Snoopy. He is now 2 years old and has got me out and about regularly which has helped me enormously.

Meet Snoopy;

Brighter news

Well following my sad news of the summer I am pleased to be able to tell you that things seem to be looking up for us as my son and his wife had their third baby on October 29th. I have not posted before because my new grand-daughter was 6 weeks early and after this year I didn't want to tempt fate. But I can now tell you that Rosie Louise weighed in at 5lb 7oz, she was in an incubator for a few days and then in and out due to jaundice but finally came out last Friday. Her feeding has improved over the last few days and was allowed home today.
I will keep you up to date with her progress.
I have still not got fully into crafting but it is coming and I hope to be posting some Christmas cards soon.

A very bad year for myself and my family

Hi everyone, I am so sorry I have not posted for the most of this year but my husband began with a bad back in April. After persistence at the Dr's as he was not feeling any better he finally got blood tests done. The results of these were OK except the liver function, he was then sent for a scan. Within 2 weeks the Dr rang (10th May) and asked Martin to go to see him that afternoon and for me to go with him. I was due to go to Port Sunlight that afternoon for the spring show but had to let Gordon know that I would be later arriving.
The results of the scan were devastating, it was cancer and as it was his liver this is in 99.9% of cases seconderys, meaning that they had to look for the primary site. By this time Martin was having problems with his bowels so this is where investigations began and it was found positive for bowel cancer. By the beginning of June we were told that the cancers were that bad they were inoperable. Treatment was suggested which gave us a little hope of having around a year +. Martin had more scans and began treatment but the scans showed the cancer to be very aggressive and hope was fading fast. Every time we saw a consultant things got worse. On the 17th of June we were finally told that Martin had weeks rather than months but lived only 11 days passing away at home with myself, our son and daughter in law and our daughter  by his side.
As you can imagine we are all devastated and I still expect him to walk through the door.
I have only just started crafting again but will hopefully begin posting soon.
